Individual Who Reached For Ariana Grande on the occasion of Premiere Banned from Singapore

An individual of Australian nationality who vaulted over a barricade and reached for actress Ariana Grande has been deported and prohibited from Singapore.

The man, 26, was given a sentence to over a week in prison for causing a public disturbance and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority stated to news outlets.

Wen pushed beyond security and charged at the actress and singer, who was participating in the Asian premier for Wicked: For Good on 13 November. Co-performer Cynthia Erivo pulled him back from Grande.

Wen has a history of causing disturbances at events and celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the pop star's Australian show in this summer.

The event caused anger in Singapore, with several individuals claiming he of re-traumatising Grande.

The celebrity has mentioned dealing with PTSD after a terrorist bombing at her performance in Manchester in May 2017 took the lives of 22 individuals and injured hundreds.

Throughout the court proceedings, the court heard he had attempted to intrude on the red carpet event twice, according to local news sources.

He then made a follow-up try to breach security. Security staff stopped him and held him in place.

Wen later posted videos expressing gratitude to the star for letting him on the carpet and said he was "at liberty."

Law enforcement detained him the subsequent day and accused him with disorderly conduct, to which Wen pleaded guilty.

The District Judge Christopher Goh was referenced by media reports as remarking that he was looking for publicity, noting that he was incorrect to assume he would not experience repercussions.

The singer has not spoken about the incident.

The co-star spoke about the situation to the press, stating that she "just wanted to ensure my colleague was safe."

"I believe he didn't mean us harm, but you never know with those things, and I aimed to ensure that she was OK. That was my immediate response," she commented.
